Imperial Entrepreneurs is passionately run by a team of students from Imperial.

Passionate about enterprise and helping others taking the plunge, we want to run IE in a way that reflects innovation and over-ambition. Sacrifing our sleep to bring  the best to our members but learning and enjoying it as we go.

President

Niccolo Corsini took over in December 2008 and has since brought IE to new heights with among other the Ideas Empowered program. Currently pursuing a Msci Physics whilst working on his latest venture in the P2P Lending space his interests span anything from Green Tech to Social Media.

Fascinated by Innovation at the interface between Science and Business he has been building and consulting various ventures including Logos ltd, NACUE Ventures and working in a Research team at Imperial to develop a novel Quantum Optical device into a commercial product.

Other Companies he has been working for include Goldman Sachs, Heubach India and Cmypitch.com.

A bon vivant, he loves traveling around the globe with nothing but his surfboard or sipping a  glass of Chianti whilst enjoying live Jazz.

Vice-President

Jonathan Webster is currently studying Information Systems Engineering at Imperial. He first realised his entrepreneurial ambitions by starting a small web design company during his GCSEs. Jonathan has since co-founded Web-Port Ltd which focuses on delivering efficiency to the cargo industry. Jonathan joined the Imperial Entrepreneurs committee after gaining invaluable real world advice with his start-up.

Treasurer

Thijs Povel, born in The Netherlands, lived in Belgium and currently pursuing a Physics degree at Imperial. Years ago it became clear to him that he wanted to become an entrepreneur, and he started taking small steps towards that destination, of which joining the Imperial Entrepreneurs was the latest.

 

Some of the previous steps have been; joining a card company, Deltacard; becoming a reseller for a Dutch VoIP provider, Speakup; assisting a venture capitalist with mergers and acquisitions; going on a business trip to Bhutan for a hydro-power project; and internships for IBM ISS and Frontlink.

 

He enjoys experiencing new things, traveling the world, playing sports and the more so in company of friends.

Michael Coombe

Michael Coombe is currently studying mathematics with management and is undertaking his final year in the Business School. He has launched several small web based projects and has acted as a web consultant for various companies. His most recent experience is with the launching of ROAR Ideas. A web based development company that seeks to bridge the gap between local businesses and search engine success. Looking for a further challenge and growth Michael joined the Imperial Entrepreneurs team.
