The Garage Special – Brent Hoberman

The Garage is a fusion of ideas, borrowing from the Homebrew Computer Club meets of California that gave rise to Apple Computers and OpenCoffee and SeedCamp events of Europe.

For more information on what The Garage is, please see the full description page.

What's so special about this Garage?

On the 11th March 2008, Imperial Entrepreneurs will host yet another exciting and high-profile event – Brent Hoberman will be our guest at another Garage Special.

Imperial College's Computing Department is recognised as the Best in Europe and fourth in the world — Imperial Entrepreneurs is therefore hugely privileged to have someone as well-knwon as Brent to come speak for us at the centre of computing excellence in Europe.

This is an event not to be missed!

I'm interested, what now?

Places are limited to 150 people and demand is expected to be huge.

The format of the event will be similar to other Garages – the emphasis this time will be primarily on the audience being able to ask questions on just about everything and anything!

If you would like to attend, please RSVP to events@imperialentrepreneurs.com with “Brent Hoberman” in the subject line.

Do I have to be an Imperial student to attend?

No!

  • Imperial Entrepreneurs Members who have paid £5 to the Student Union can attend for free.
  • External Student members (i.e. LBS, LSE, Oxford and Cambridge etc students) who are external Imperial Entrepreneurs members can also attend for free, or sign up on the night for £10 for the year.
  • External guests who fall into any other category can attend for £10, payable in cash on the night.

Will there are refreshments?

Yes!

The Imperial Entrepreneurs team is working hard to put on a fantastic event with first-class refreshments as a given.

I have a burning question I want to ask – what do I do?

Please email Henry Mori your question at henry@imperialentrepreneurs.com and he will compose a blog listing of questions that Brent may then choose to answer at the beginning of the evening.

I'm so excited, I can't sleep at night

Don't worry, you're not alone...see you on the night!

Where and when will it be?

The event itself will start from 6:30pm, and will be located in Computing room 308 in the Huxley Building at the South Kensington campus of Imperial College. This is building number 13 on this map
